Baby lizard

Something suddenly and unexpectedly fell on me from the top of the car seat while I was travelling. My reflex action was shrugging of shoulders and moving of hands with a shriek to remove that. I saw a baby lizard running in between the space to hide leaving its dancing tail behind.

Should I kill it after searching or just leave the situation as such?

Techno savvy

“Let me show you my site.” I told a school going boy and clicked the buttons of keyboard.
After viewing the address bar he said confidently, “This is not your site this is your PAGE.”

All of us must have met techno savvy kids but has anyone ever meet techno savvy granny?

Disappearance of comments

In the morning when I opened my blog I was surprised to see some comments were missing.

This problem is with the two latest posts. Does anybody else is also facing the same kind of problem?

First rain showers

“The dirty pigs are looking pink! So cute!! ” A kid exclaimed as he saw street pigs after first rain showers.

A rare fight

In general, birds fight for three things mate, food and space for making nest. All of us must have watched many birds like common myna, parakeets fighting one or the other time. Have you ever viewed the fight of two peacocks with long brilliant colored beautiful feathers?

When I was in my study I was distracted by the sounds of flapping and fluttering. Just like a curious bird, I peeped out of the window. Two metallic –blue peacocks with shades of green on their body, in possession of magnificent plumage in a mixture of bright green, royal blue and brown color, maintaining a constant distance with each other were rotating in a circle, keeping a keen eye on each other’s slightest movements. Almost at the same time both of them flew at a distance of 7-8 feet high, their beaks trying to hurt each other with a great force. The one, who was hurt, came down to the ground first. As soon as the second one landed on ground then they started swirling looking in each other’s eyes with hatred, flew again at near about same height to wound the other one. This whirling, flying, injuring continued confused; what could be the reason of their fight as peacock is considered to be a very shy bird? As my mind got bored of the same fighting scenes, I viewed my whole lawn and found a peahen standing in the corner of a lawn, meekly watching their fight.

What do you think the peahen was thinking?

Voyager

I wrote to Mr. 'Y' a voyager :
The best thing on your social networking site is the world map showing 178 cities in 36 countries which you have visited till now. Hope you will soon visit the rest of the world.

He replied :
I hope so too.. to visit alteast most part of the world before I die..;)) I haven't step my foot in Central and South America, Australia, large part of Africa so much places to visit..

I have seen only two countries, India and US. And if I count the cities then it will hardly be 25. Oho! I forget to tell that I have also seen Dubai airport where I changed my flight during my US trip. :-)

“Phew!!! Only 33 friends!” A school going kid exclaimed on seeing the total number of my friends on a social networking site.

A car hit me

As I was walking on the side of the road without footpath, I was hit by something from behind. Before I could realise anything what had happened it hit me again. I hurriedly get aside and was surprised to see the culprit as a car in which a young driver and two senior citizens were sitting. The driver and senior citizens had no facial expressions of apology. Seeing this I shouted that he could not drive properly. The driver grinned and frowns on my face increased in size and number. Before I could say more, I overheard a comment by a passer by woman, “Give him a tight slap.”

Can a slap make him realise his mistake?

Kulfi

After having lunch, a heavy one, I decided to eat kulfi to beat the heat. I ordered one. I realised my mistake as first bite of kulfi reached my stomach. It was rich and thick with lots of dry fruits. Half eaten my stomach seemed to be filled.

Should I throw it in dustbin and waste an eatable or should I eat it completely even if later on it causes gastric problems?

Silence

“Your sense of humour is superb.” I appreciated Mr. ‘R’ when he cracked a self created joke. A smile appeared on his face on hearing his appreciation. I, who have some knowledge of psychology said, “In general, the persons who are witty have a very painful and sorrowful life and they use their sense of humour as an escape from the darkness of their lives. I hope this is not true in your case.”

He became silent and didn’t respond. He sunk into deep thoughts.

What did silence mean; I correctly interpreted about his life or I made such an irrelevant statement that he preferred to ignore me?

Work schedule

Mr. ‘N’ wrote about his work schedule as :

Meeting at 10.00 am
Planning of news and other stories after meeting till 1 pm
coordination with Head office and state office till 3 pm
3 to 4.30 rest
4.30 back to office
and after midnight we finish newspaper
around 2.30 AM
its daily schedule...
without any break..
pay high...work like an ASS...

Surgeon

On a social networking site, the profile photo of a surgeon showed his head covered with cap, mouth and nose with mask. The spectacles hid his eyes to some extent. It seemed that this photo was taken just before entering the operation theatre. :-D

Frog

In a park, after chasing a frog for a long time, a kid catches it. Immediately dropped it on the grass and said, “I will never catch a frog.”

Why did he take this decision?

Tamil

“Do you know Tamil?” A stranger asked me.
“I wanna learn Tamil so that I can watch R. Madhavan’s movies.” I replied.

Was I kidding or serious?

Excuse

A kid was not doing the morning yoga exercises properly even on my repeated advices. “Why you are not concentrating on exercise?” At last I lost my temper and scolded him.

“Ma’am, today I forgot to brush my teeth.” He replied innocently.

On hearing such a sweet excuse what should I do laugh heartily or discipline him?

Handicap

“Ya. You can come today, anytime.” On mobile, a young entrepreneur said to a staff member of Internet Company. While putting the phone down, his other hand gave the thumbs up. The young guy was starting a new venture at Gurgaon and wanted some Vastu help from me.

He told me, “You know Chandrika, we were handicap without any internet connection.”

Cuckoo

With shrieking sound, female cuckoo suddenly came from somewhere as a crow was chasing her. The cuckoo was trying to save her from piercing beak, hit her head with the big glass pane of the building, and fell on the grass. I was watching this, ran towards her.

After such a severe accident do you think she would be alive or dead?

News in a leading newspaper :

A young guy shouted from the top of a building, “I will commit suicide if I will not be married to the girl ‘Y’.” An old filmy style grabbed the attention of passer-bys. The girl ‘Y’ and her father were also invited to watch this whole drama. People’s pressure forced father to say ‘YES’.

As the young guy gladly came down, girl’s father refused to marry her daughter to him.

Now, should the young guy go back, on the top of the building? :-D Try try try again. :-D

As a middle aged lady was searching something in her hand bag, a stray cow slowly moved towards her. After, checking all the pockets, the lady looked up and said, "Arre yaar, today I forgot to bring chapatis for you." (Hey buddy, today I forgot to bring bread for you.)

ohh ohk.. i was a little intrigued.. have seen a lot of guys named "shubham", but a girl.. that too the second name :)

Yaeh, its a beautiful name given to me by my grand pa. Earlier it was my first name. And at that time nobody had the name 'Shubham' except me. It was an uncommon name. Someone suggested me to change my name with the letter 'ch' so 'Chandrika' become my first name. I didn't remove it as I loved the name 'Shubham'. When all the eleborate processes was done for the name changing then Mr. Somebody told me that it was also wrong as he advised to have a name starting with 'chu' and not 'ch'. So in future I will be changing my name to Chudamani. :-D

lol.. thats really interesting :) so probably in future you will be called Chudamani Chandrika Shubham :P don't change ur name too often, or else you might end up with a longer name than Chaminda Vaas :) (i don't kno if you follow cricket but he is supposedly the player with the longest name in the world)

this also tells me u were born before me, coz i have always existed with the name "shubham".. haha..
but i wud agree.. it was an uncommon name when i was born, but can be seen at every nook n corner these days.. shubham banquet hall, shubham boutique, shubham valley restaurant etc etc

Meditation Vs self torture

A saint in black robe meditating in front of temple was unusual sight for me. I had never seen that saint before, although passing through that route was my routine.

Everything could get roasted when the temperature is so high in afternoon; a saint was meditating in direct sunlight and fire burning around him.

Do you think it is a form of meditation or self torture?
