Chinese toys

I am in a toy shop searching a plaything for 11 year old child. The market is flooded with beautiful, vibrant and tempting toys. I select a vivid, distinct and cheap toy appropriate for that age group.

‘Made in China’ was printed on the left corner of the box.

Should I buy the toy as it is very attractive, unique and comes in my budget or should not buy it as it was in news that Chinese toys contain toxins which are harmful for the children?

Everybody lacks patience

“This season heavy rains are pouring. All at once they start, downpour heavily and stop. There is no drizzling or light rains this time.” I said.
“These days everybody lacks patience. Even clouds are in a hurry as they have to pour rains to other places also.” Mr. ‘X’ commented with a beaming smile. :-D

A message from Ex BF

“ ‘My dog - No more. Returned from work, found Buddy dead. Hit by vehicle. Missing My BUDDY!!!!’

After break up and no contact for seven months, today my Ex-boyfriend texted me this.” Miss ‘L’ told me.

What should Miss ‘L’ reply to her boyfriend? ;-)

Friend's family life

“Do not interfere in MY family life, Chandrika.” My friend whose family problem I was trying to solve told me.
"Sorry. I thought it was OUR family." I said.

Do we need friends to say ‘hi’ and ‘bye’, to do parties and have fun or to solve the complicated family and financial problems?

Who was at fault?

“You cheated me.” Wife shouted.
“You spied me.” Husband shouted.

Who was at fault, husband or wife?

Menu Card

In a restaurant, I am viewing a menu card which has 208 dishes.

It is difficult to make a choice. Please suggest something that I can order?

Discipline

“Two elderly people were talking so vulgar that I had to ask my son to get up from there.” A middle age man was narrating an incidence of a shopping mall where he, his teenage son and two elderly men were sitting in a waiting lounge of a parlour.

What was teen age son thinking ‘Oh Sh*t! I can’t enjoy the spicy gossip becoz of dad.’ or ‘Discipline is only for me!’ ? ;-)

A silent visit

“Stay away from my blog, Chandrika.” Mr. ‘R’ shouted on me.
I was deeply hurt as I was suggesting improvements for his blog and wanted his blog to be a popular one.

After that I stopped visiting his blog and started writing on my blog. Now one day, he silently visited my blog.

Should I say “Stay away from my blog” or “Thanks for reading my posts.” ?

A blind beggar

A blind man in shabby clothes was standing in the middle of the highway on which vehicles were moving with great speed. He was spreading his palms for alms.

Do you think he was begging money or wanted compensation if any speedy vehicle hit him?

Staring

I waved my hand in front of the face of a middle aged person who was staring at me.
“Oho! Actually I was thinking something.” He said.

Was he really thinking looking into my eyes or did he want to lock eyes with me?

Married twice

“I will be married TWICE in my life time; an astrologer predicted that for me.” A middle aged man who had happy married life told. He was married only ONCE.

Do you think he feel cheerful or cheerless about being married ONCE?

Reduced AC temperature

I and a middle aged woman (not known to me) were waiting in AC office of Mr. ‘S’. He was not on his seat. After forty five minutes he arrived. He made himself comfortable, reduced AC temperature and switched on the fan.

I started discussing official matter with him and the woman slowly removed stole wrapped around her neck and placed it in her handbag. Now, not only her beautiful neck but more than that was visible.

The temperature inside that room was hot or cool? ;-)

Foul smell

“How much foul smell you dirty fellow spread?” A lady shouted on a sweeper who was cleaning the passage situated in the open space of a hotel. Her husband with a lit cigarette in his mouth was escorting her.

Who was responsible for foul smell; sweeper who was doing his duty or her husband who was smoking?

mY dEaReSt EnEmY!

I have posted a photo album ‘Emotional me’ on a social networking site. In it, there is a photograph of a young guy in his mid-thirties. He has a doomed bald head and a fair face. Dark brown dyed moustaches matches perfectly with twinkling little brown eyes behind designer wear spectacles. Shades of innocence and cunningness can be seen clearly in those eyes.

Below that photograph I have written ‘He changed my life……… mY dEaReSt EnEmY!’

Today is his birthday. Should I wish him or no?

Shy writer

Thank you Chandrika. And appreciate your kind words about my writing. You can always create a blog on ………. just so you can respond to other blogs. I know a couple of people who do that! They keep their identities private, and don't post anything, but read blogs and comment/participate like readers.

You have mentioned that you want to write but can't. Is it because you are extremely busy, juggling career, home etc. or because you are SHY? When I was a full time working woman and mom too, I used to write during my lunch hour at office. Sometimes just a paragraph, but I wrote. Everyone has his/her unique voice, let it out.

This is 100th post by a shy writer. :)

Strange house

Oh My! What a strange house is this! Not a single piece of furniture or decorative item in the drawing room and the adjacent L shaped dinning room. As I entered the house of a client, I was not only surprised but rather shocked. I took a few steps and sighed, at least a well equipped kitchen with all modern electrical gadgets was there.

The hostess was a young lady in her mid thirties who asked me to follow her towards the other end of the house. While passing through a narrow passage, I noticed, the two bedrooms were also empty. On reaching in the third one my shock took the shape of confusion. There was only one double bed on which a senior citizen was lying and viewing a plasma TV on wall. A window ac was throwing cool air which seemed hot to me.

They both reside in that house, now can you guess what is the relationship between the two?

Blocked me

Three months before :
One of my blog readers sent a friend request to me on a social networking site. I replied that it was only for my close friends and relatives. I apologised her for not accepting it. She said its ok and withdrew her friend’s request.

Yesterday, I was surprised to notice that she blocked me on that site.

I can’t understand why she block me after three months??!??

Crack in the specs

“You forgot your spectacles at home. Then how did you watch movie in cinema hall on that day?” I wanted to know from my cousin.

“Hehe hehe. I have another spec whose one glass is cracked and temple arm is broken on other side.” He replied.

“Watching movie must be an awesome experience!” :-D

Forgetting little things make life difficult or interesting?

Accident of Innocent animal

My car was moving with high speed on National Highway. A truck was coming in the other lane a little behind to car. Suddenly a bull appeared and started crossing the road. It had a limp which slowed its speed. It was in the middle of the road then decided to go back. As larger vehicle was coming in that lane, it decided to continue its journey to cross the road. Its indecisiveness confused my driver. The distance was too less and speed was too high. It seems for a few seconds bull will be killed. But driver took a fast decision, put the harsh brakes. The car only touched the animal with the slightest pressure.

Consequently my back ached the whole day but I was relieved an animal is SAVED.

Who is responsible for such accidents on roads; the owner who leave innocent animals without giving any food or the driver who even with careful driving hit these animals because of high speed?

Shortening of name

Shortening of name means you will be moving from friendship to relationship. The more you shortened it the more you will be moving towards relationship.

Special Toilets

In the morning, as I opened the door of the house five pigeons flapped and flew away. The ceiling fan of the veranda was slightly moving. They must have spent the whole night on it.

I looked at the floor.
“Government must construct special toilets for pigeons, separate for males and females.” Only this I could think. ;-)

Little things

"Please have a cup of tea." A staff member offered me as a peon placed the cup of tea on the table.
"No. Thanks! I do not drink tea." I replied.
"So you saved my one cup of tea." :-D

Mr. ‘Y’ narrated an incidence from his recent trip to a European country, “One day, I was going for a walk, two guys stopped me and talked in Spanish. I told them I couldn’t understand it. One of them in broken English told, “We are here to spread the message of GOD and talk about your life’s goal.” I noticed then only they were wearing a white T-shirt on which ‘Jesus is Great’ was written. I told them that right now my goal was to have an ice-cream. And hurriedly I left that place before they could understand my goal.”

“Such situations should be avoided and ice cream is the best option for that.” I said.

“One should avoid talking to strangers about politics and religion and one should avoid talking to friends about relationships.”
