No doubt, with practice we can reduce the size of that object to a point but still then our mind is thinking about that point. Poster Competition Judge

“After visiting all of our clinics in Gurgaon and Manesar in which all the posters were displayed made by our teams, which one you liked the most?” The owner of Ross Clinics, a chain of multi-facility health clinics asked me.

I pointed towards this poster and said. “I liked this the most.”

“Any specific reason, Ms. Judge?”

“All the posters are pretty nice. But as a judge I have to choose one and only ONE. Right?”

“Absolutely!”

“I liked this poster very much as in it a map is drawn to show all the branches of Ross Clinics as well as there full address is also written. And that will be quiet easier for the clients to find and locate the branch of Ross Clinics nearest to them in Gurgaon and Manesar.”

“hmmm…”

“I will also suggest you to ask Rossmates to make the replica of this poster and display it in all the other clinics. Keep adding more branches to it as and when you open the next.”

Interesting persons

Previous post continued ….

In jam there were two persons whom I found interesting as they were enjoying the situation by keeping themselves busy even in this gandevala jam whereas the rest where irritated with the 'No movement' of vehicles. One was a middle aged lady who was solving sudoku puzzles in a book. And other was a young guy who was clicking the photos of traffic jam from every angle either to send it to his boss as he could not reach on time or uploading it on facebook to share with friends to receive their humorous comments.

What else one can go to enjoy this type of situation?

Irritating traffic jam

From the past four and a half hours my car was in the traffic jam with the result my car had only covered two hundred meters on NH No. 8 which is famous or rather I must said notorious for its kilometres long traffic jams, bahoot he gande vale jams. To divert my mind from the irritating jam I watched green fields of bajara, herd of cows, birds of different sizes and shapes, white butterflies moving here and there, not knowing where and flying clouds in blue sky. Luckily after 35 minutes car moved further and stopped near a shop. Many people who were along with me in that traffic jam got down from cars and bought mineral water, cold drinks and chips from there to quench their thirst and hunger. Seeing the rush, I analysed that by the evening that shop owner would have the sufficient money to open the McDonalds in that place. I had the sufficient water and meal for two days with me so I won’t be contributing in this noble cause.

What one can do when caught in this type of traffic jam; write a blog post like this? ;)

POWER PUMP

“I can’t understand whether the front tyre of my car is punctured or the pressure of air is low in it?” I confusedly utter these words.

“It is not punctured only air pressure is less.”  The kid said after his careful examination. “Wait a minute.”

He ran inside the house and brought a bicycle pump. “My parents gifted me a racing cycle and this air pump on my b’day. I will correct the pressure of air in your car tyre with this pump.”

“This will not work. It is for cycle not for car.” I said.

“It is power pump not an ordinary pump.”

He ignored me, uncapped the nozzle of car tyre and tried to do what he wanted to.

Disappointedly he said “I am unable to adjust the nozzle with the valve of pump with the result there is leakage while filling air.”

“I told you that you couldn’t fill the air with this ordinary pump.”

“This is not an ordinary pump. It is power pump. POWER PUMP!”

How can I convince him that even with POWER PUMP one cannot correct the air pressure in the car tyre? 

Right to Information!

“Do you know how to fill a postal order?” Ms. ‘F’ asked.

“Yes. I do.” I said and helped her in filling that form.

“Actually I am filling an application under Right to Information Act (RTI) for the first time and postal order is to be sent with it.”

“What do you wish to know?” I curiously asked.

“Salary of my husband! I am fighting with him in the court!!”

Do you think it is the use or misuse of Right to Information Act?

Shares of Infosys

“Is share market is down today?” I asked Mr. ‘U’ who was watching a business news channel.

“No. It is up, only a few points.” Mr. ‘U’ said. “Infosys is Rs. 75.26 up right now as the decision of a case comes in their favour.”

“I sold all my Infosys shares on the last working day of share market making a small profit.”

“If you have hold the shares for just one more working day then you would have made good profit from them.”

Should I be happy as I made a small profit or should I be sad for not holding the shares for one more working day?

Height of saving!

I placed some biscuits on the newspaper in front of a street dog. He didn’t it. I waited and watched from a distance. A young man came near the dog, let the biscuits fall on the ground by pulling the newspaper from one side. To my surprise he folded the newspaper, put it in his pocket and went away.

Has any reader seen any person doing more saving than this one? ;)

How much it costs?

An elderly man boosted about his financial prowess. “I have four flats in this society, six flats in that society and…….” I calmly listened to him. “I have 500sq yards of plot in Gurgaon. Do you have any idea how much it costs?” He inquired me or to check whether I am listening or not?

I was silent.

He repeated again a bit louder. “Do you have any idea how much it costs?”

Lazily I said, “It depends upon where it is situated.” 

Instead of understanding the deeper meaning of what I meant, he uttered. “It is situated in the city of heart.”

I controlled my laugh, the most difficult task to do on this Earth.

100 rupee currency note

I opened the pocket of my purse to give change to a shopkeeper. I picked out one hundred rupee note and was bit surprised to see it. Who gave it to me? I couldn’t remember. I put the note back in my pocket and gave another note to the shopkeeper.

Whom do you suggest I must give this note to a relative or a friend?

Electricity Board

“What is the name of these flowers, they are so beautiful?” Miss ‘S’ asked.

“Electricity Board.” I replied.

“What??!??”

“Actually 21years back I went to my friend’s house who lived in the quarters of Electricity Board. I brought a cutting of this plant from there and planted it which only had green leaves and some more green leaves. In 21years I first time saw the plant blooming. That’s why these flowers are so unique.”

In my small garden, these days tiny flowers are blooming. These are unique flowers as they do not have dew on them still they glitter as light fall on them.

Not picking up the phone!

I called Mr. 'H' twice on Friday. He neither picked up the phone nor called back. Today I called him again. And there was no response.

Is he busy with some important work or ignoring me?

School admission

“How is your younger son?” I asked Mr. ‘Y’ who has recently moved to Gurgaon.

“He is fine and has been admitted to two different schools in class ninth. He will go to both of them for a week or ten days then he will decide which school he wish to continue.”

Do you think admission in two schools means wastage of money or will help in making the child independent in decision taking?

“Don’t play with the toy so harshly. It will break.” A mother instructed her kid. “It is a baby’s toy.”

“Baby’s toy??? I can’t see any baby in this house.” They were the guest. To confirm the kid went in all the rooms to check if there is any baby. “THERE IS NO BABY IN THIS HOUSE.” He said confidently.

“hmmm……..The baby has gone to the market with her mother. Her mother has to do some shopping.” The mother told a good reason to convince him.

In a balcony of somebody known I found a pigeon sitting in an earthen pot. Can any one guess why it is sitting there and didn't fly when I clicked this photo from one feet distance?

“Ma’am what should I name your wi-fi connection?” The staff person of the wi-fi company asked me.

“Orange.” That was the first word that came to my mind.

“Now you can use it, ma’am. It is working.”

I was surprised to see the spelling of ‘Orange’ as ‘oreng’.

I couldn’t resist myself from clicking the pic of the beautifully painted tyre of a truck. Intricate designs in vibrant colors were eye catching!

What do you think tyres should be painted so delicately even if they could accumulate dirt and mud while moving on roads or they should be artistically painted as dirt and mud could be removed?

Although I don’t understand Telugu even then on viewing this trailer I can’t resist myself from uploading it as it shows that hero is in love with a girl and villain kills hero and he is born again as a fly to take revenge.

What do you think if one is given a change to be born again to take revenge then what  should be one’s preference to be a louse in villain’s head or tapeworm in his intestine? ;)

Dying woman

“Do you know what happened in Building No. 2?” Mrs. ‘P’ said.

“No. I don’t. I was out of the town for a week.” I replied.

“A young woman jumped from the sixth floor, crowd gathered around her in a few minutes as it was day time. Most of the persons were standing still not doing anything to help her. They didn’t even bother to call police or ambulance. They were just gossiping why a young woman who had a three year old son tried to commit suicide.”

“That’s sad.”

“I took the step to take her to the hospital. In the evening her husband came to my house and surprisingly instead of thanking me he blamed me for taking his wife to a government hospital instead of any reputed private hospital.”

I couldn’t find the right word to utter.

She said with moist eyes. “Do I make a mistake by helping a dying woman?”

Unknown numbers

“I called you a couple of times before from my new number.” I said.

“Actually I do not pick up calls from unknown numbers. Today it is by chance I pick up the phone.” Mr. ‘T’, a reputed businessman replied.

What do you think picking up unknown numbers means call from creditors or picking up phone from strangers is not good for business?
