Relationship with GOD

Our relationship with GOD never changes whereas the rest of relationships changes with time!

 Then why do we give more importance to the rest of relationships than our relationship with GOD?

    I think I have already told a couplet - DUKH MEIN SIMRAN SAB KAREIN, SUKH MEIN KARE NAA KOYE, SUKH MEIN JO SIMRAN KARO, TO DUKH KAHE KO HOYE.
    It is human tendency to remember God only at the time of trouble.
