Depression Vs Creativity

I am writing daily posts from past two months.

Do you think that it is a way to escape depression, tensions and frustrations of life or it is creative flow of emotions?

Word verification

While posting a comment on a blog I have to go through word verification for three times as the word that appears on screen was not clearly written and was jumbled too much that I can’t interpret it correctly.

Do you think word verification before posting a comment is mere wastage of time or protection from spam?

An endless fight!

“You want to stop a fight between father and son, Chandrika. Hmm….Can you stop the fight? NO! No, you can’t. Fight is constantly going on.” An elderly saint told me. “Our heart is divided into two parts. One tells us to do a thing and other one tells us not to do that. This is continuously going on. An endless fight! If you can’t stop the fight inside you than how can you stop an outside fight?”

Do you agree or disagree with the saint?

I know you!

As soon as I was about to cross the road in Gurgaon than a white colour car stopped in front of me. An elderly man was on driver seat and the rest of the car was empty. He gestured me to come. I thought that he might want to seek some information regarding way. He put down the glass of the opposite seat and asked, “Kya aap Allahabad se hain? (Are you from Allahabad?)”
“I have never been to ALLAHABAD and knew only about its geographical situation on the map of India.” I thought, so I replied “NO!”.
“I know you!” He elatedly said.

How can he recognise me as I havn’t uploaded my photograph on my blog or is this his favourite line which he says to everyone (she) with whom he wants to be acquainted?

A gal left this much comment on a guy’s blog.

Do you think she has read all the posts thoroughly or was just commenting to seek his and his blog reader’s attention?

Human touch

“Do you think its only your work which is to be done?” A bureaucrat shouted on me when I requested for doing my work. “Sit sown and wait till your turn come.”
I wasted my three precious minutes in getting the glimpses of the room. She sneezed. I broke the silence. “Oho! You are having cold.”
“Yes. I am not feeling well today.”
“Tomorrow is a holiday. At least then you can take rest.”
“Come with me. I will do your work first.” She said.

Was I buttering or giving a human touch to the whole scenario?

Santa caps

On a traffic light signal, a five year old boy was wearing bright red coloured Santa cap with a pompom. He was holding ten more such caps in his little hands for selling.

Do you think it is his age to wear such caps or sell them?

Whistling

“This lift is making a clear, shrill and sharp musical sound.” Mr. ‘Y’ said when lift was not working properly and we both were getting late for work. "Oho! So, lift is whistling for you, Chandrika!”

Reading this blog do you want to whistle or no? ;-)

Swamiji

“I have a good collection of books.”
“Will you lend me a book?” I asked.
“I am very possessive about my books. Fool buys books and wise reads them and I don’t want to be a fool!” A swamiji (saint) said.
“Knowledge is the only treasure which increases on sharing but not by saving.” I thought.

Do you think this person deserves to be called a swamiji as he has a strong desire for accumulating and not sharing or a swamiji can also be possessive about his belongings?

Click! CLICK!!

A husband lifted his wife in arms; his one arm supporting her back and other holding her from knees. Their family friend clicked the photo of newly wed couple. Suddenly the husband turned around so that his wife’s legs were now towards the camera. Before she could even protest this, zoomed in scene was captured.

What do you think clicking such photos in a public place looks decent or odd?

“Dude, lets go.” A young girl said to her father with whom I was discussing some business related thing. Her immature behaviour surprised me.
“Wait for some time.” He told his collegiate daughter.
“Dude, We are getting late for the market.” She insisted.

Do you think Dad is dude or Dad is dad?

My aimless life

My life is aimless. I do not have any definite target to achieve. I am moving where life is taking me. I am like a traveller who doesn’t know towards which destination I am heading. My life is not directed to achieve particular goal.

I have selected a target of moving to Naxalite area. There, I wish to teach poor children and serve underprivileged.

Do you think it is a good target to determine at a young age or should put it down for some time till I am older?

Fall in love

“Please see my birth-chart and suggest me what should I do after retiring.” A good friend of mine asked.

Although we had good terms from past 6-7 years even then I didn’t know much about her personal life. I only know that she was unmarried. I never inquired nor tried to know the reason behind that. On seeing her birth-chart I found that she would fall in love and might get married after retirement.

Should I tell her that such a good period is ahead in her life or should I keep it a secret as my predictions can be wrong?

Blogging as a career

You should adopt blogging as a career.
A young woman commented on a blog of General Manager of a company. On an average he wrote only one post per month.

Do you think in the time of competition, writing one post per month is sufficient to adopt blogging as career when professional bloggers are writing high-quality posts per day or is she encouraging him to write more frequently like professionals?

Mysterious search

social networking sites in goa india

A person from Pune, Maharashtra asked google, reached the post 'Goa, India' on my site and spent 8 minutes and 34 seconds reading various pages.

Do you think there are different social networking sites in Goa and Pune or the visitor’s search and visit was mysterious? ;-)

Removed me from his blog roll!

Nov, 2009
And yes I have added your blog to my blog roll (the blogs I follow, depicted on the right side of my blog) without your prior permission, hope you wouldn't mind it.
This was the reply to my mail by a senior blogger whose blog I love to read. At that time I was a begginer and doesn’t know much about blogging, wrote to him to seek help.

Dec, 2010
A few days back he visited my blog read 56 pages. After some time, visited again and read 46 pages. He visited the sitemeter of my blog. And then deleted me from his blog roll.

I wote an email to him.
Thanks for keeping my blog in ur reading list for nearabout one year. :) I will be glad to hear any suggestions from ur side.
He didn’t reply.

Should I write one more mail to him as he was the first person to motivate me when I started writing and at that time it was needed the most or should not worry about that at all as nobody visited my blog via his blog except his visits?

Gud nite

Gud nite…
This message appeared on my mobile from Mr. ‘J’ which I read in the morning. Yesterday, I first time met Mr. ‘J’ during a brief business meeting. There was no conversation with him before, personally or virtually. This was the only message which I received from his side.

During the daytime I didn’t receive any message. In the evening I received one more message from him as :
Gud nite

Do you think I should respond to that person for courtesy sake or just ignore such stupid messages?

Honk! Honk!!

Red light
A gal repeatedly honked the car. In front of her car were two guys on bike. They were irritated because of her misbehaviour. Hot words were shared between the bike and car drivers.

Green light
The guy on bike kicked it again and again to start but it didn’t start. The gal honked more.

Do you think that guys did ‘tit for tat’ or it was coincidence that bike didn’t start because of some difficulty in its ignition system?

Sewing Needle No. 18

At last I found time to sew the curtains! Because of my busy schedule this was one of my pending works. For sewing thick fabrics like curtains sewing needle no. 18 should be used in sewing machine. I took out my needle box and searched for that needle. To my surprise I couldn’t read the number written on the sewing needle with my naked eyes.

Can you read the number written on sewing needle with your naked eyes or no?

Meditational experience

Millions of sun shinning on a starless night!
This was my status on a social networking site.

Mrs. ‘Y’ commented :
If the sun is shinning how it could be starless? :-p

I replied :
When one closes one’s eyes for meditation, one sees only darkness. This situation is quite similar to a starless night. During meditating one rarely experiences the shinning of millions of sun. It is a unique meditational experience.

What do you think I was serious or kidding?

Injection

A 7-8 year boy screamed, shouted, cried, moved his hands and legs irregularly as he didn’t want to give his blood sample.
“It will pain me.” He said as tears were flowing from his red eyes. Tears covered his chubby cheeks.

Does injection gives so much pain or just a slight feeling of insertion?

Disciplining of mind

Mind is monkey which can’t sit at one place,
Mind is a monkey which is drunk so will do all nasty things,
And mind is a monkey whose tail is on fire which will destroy everything.

That mind, which behaves like a monkey is to be disciplined. It can only be disciplined with practice and patience. Then only that monkey will become tame.

A saint told a middle aged man.

Do you agree or disagree with the saint?

Contradictory comments

Two passer bys most probably a grandfather and his grandson watched me with astonished looks as I was feeding cow with eatables which were placed on a piece of paper.

“Its good to feed cows. It’s good especially if fed on papers.” Grandfather commented.
“If you continue feeding cow on paper, one day it will die.” Grandson commented.

What do you think one should follow or not such free consultancy services? ;-)

Fireworks : Enjoying or scary

As soon as the stunning fireworks began than an innocent bird flew in front of my eyes, not knowing in which direction it desired to fly. It seemed that the bird was really very scared.

Should the innocent creatures like birds and animals be scared so much for a short span of enjoyment from fireworks or even short span enjoyment from fireworks is important in boring routine life?

Take a deep breath

In the morning if you are struck in a traffic jam then I can suggest you to take a deep breath and relax! This is the only thing I can suggest.
An fm radio station RJ announced this.

Do you think if you are caught in a traffic jam then you can do only one thing that is take a deep breath or can also do something else to pass the time?

Chicks story continued...

“Last Sunday, I returned from London. The house was dirty as it was closed for near about seven months. It took me and my maid three days to clean it. And these pigeons had made nests on air conditioners. I asked the maid to clean up all the mess and put the chicks in green cloth on the roof of the building.” A middle aged woman told me.
“The smaller chick died of hunger as it couldn’t eat the grains given by me. And the bigger one becomes the food of cat or a bird of prey.” I told her.

Is cleaning of house is important than the lives of chicks or no?

Only chicks! No nest!

Chirping of chicks attracted my attention. I moved towards that direction and found that two chicks of different sizes were squeezed one upon the other on a cloth in the corner of the building’s roof.

I was quiet shocked to see pigeon chicks without any nest near by.

Did you think parent pigeons were creative or lazy?

Comments on my blog

A middle aged woman was telling about the books of world’s famous authors. She was keenly talking about what she had read in her whole life.
After patient listening for near about an hour, I asked. “Have you read my blog?”
“Chandrika, you write, you mean to say you are a writer!!!”
“I know I can’t write well. I am learning ABC of writing. But if you haven’t read the comments on my blog then you have read NOTHING.”

This is 150th post by me. :)

Begging : art or pressure

“Give me some alms.” A kid came near me and asked.
“No.” I said.
“Please.” She brought the empty bowl closer.
“No” I repeated adamantly.
She bowed before me; her head was on my feet.

Do you think it is glamorisation of begging or it is the result of great deal of pressure on underprivileged?

Never seen such a Zebra zoo before!

“Zebra zoo!” The kid sitting beside me pointed towards a woman who was driving a scooter. The scooter was moving with almost same pace of our car because of traffic on the road. That woman was wearing a dark pink colored shirt on which numerous zebras facing all the directions were embroidered. She was wearing it with a white dupatta and salwar.

On returning home on that very day, we coincidentally met that woman again. And this time kid exclaimed, “Never seen such a zebra zoo before!”

Have you ever seen such a zoo or airport? ;)

“These days you do not laugh as earlier you used to. The dark circles have appeared under your eyes and the cheerful glow on your face in no more.” A good friend of mine asked. “What happened, dear?”

“Nothing, just over burden of work and too much blogging” My mouth said.
“I failed! I failed!! I FAILED!!! And this is my life’s biggest failure.” My heart said.

What do you think will I be able to convert my life’s biggest failure into my life’s biggest success?

“On Tuesday, while going to Delhi and coming back home, I didn’t find any traffic jam on highway No. 8 and roads.” Mrs. ‘S’ told me.

Urself is Yourself

"Don't you know the spellings of 'Yourself'?" Saying this, a staff member of a reputed bank rejected my cheque addressed as 'Urself'.
"Yup .......but these days both spellings work." I tried to justify myself.
"Its wrong. You have to fill up another cheque with correct spellings."

Does shortening of spellings save our time or lead us to trouble?

63mago

Thinking about 63mago, I picked up a tarot card. The card showed a woman who was sitting in between the piles and piles of books, reading, researching and writing.

A regular reader of my blog, 63mago who may forget to eat or drink but never forget to read my blog. I love her humor, her genius thoughts and her irony. I do not know much about her except that she resides in Germany.

Does regular reading of a particular blog draws an image of the blogger or is it just a platform to share information?

Watching porn movies

“You got late. What happened?” I asked the college girl.
“Oh! Last night, I was watching movies.” She replied.
“Which?”
“Porn movies!”
“I read on net that Chuck Traynor was husband, manager and pimp of Linda Lovelace, a famous American porn star of 70’s who forced her to pornography at the gun point. She was ripped like a rubber doll. She was frightened, humiliated and disgraced. She admitted that she felt like garbage!”
“Hmm…”
“In later years of their age, such porn stars faced numerous health problems physical as well as emotional. If you watch porn it means more persons will be dragged into this dirty business. Do u want to watch porn movies or no?"

A few words of appreciation

I appreciate the message convey in the last two paragraphs of the article. The data depicted here is surprisingly alarming which show that a huge sum of money is wasted on crackers during festival season. It not only creates noise and air pollution but also increases unfortunate incidences of blindness, losing some body parts or other injuries.

It is nice to hear that you haven’t spent hard earned precious money of yours on buying crackers from the last 23 years. Instead of that you love to give money to the needy especially those who want to be self reliant.

I wish we all celebrate festivals like this. :)

Should I leave this comment on Mr. ‘M’ ’s blog or no as he has already rejected my earlier comment on his blog?

Do you think this is romantic or dirty?

Autumn season

I had almost forgotten that there was a season called autumn... :P
Mr. 'A' posted this picture and caption on the social networking site.

Ms. 'C' commented :
Autumn is a season to forget and spring is the season to remember forever. :) But unfortunately autumn is too long and spring is too short.

Mr. 'A' commented :
Autumn is the season of preparations, to get ready to face the challenges of winter season. Moreover one can't appreciate the beauty of a flower until one remember a bare plant or tree.

Do you agree with Mr. 'A' or Ms. 'C'?

Love is...

While cleaning my cupboard, I stumbled upon an envelope, opened it and found some old newspaper’s cuttings. The colour of cuttings had faded and there are some strains here and there. It was a collection of ‘Love is …’ which I used to collect in my teens.

Do you think should I discard them as you can see in the photographs that the color of cuttings have changed from white to yellowish or should I keep the collection as it is interesting and a remembrance of my teenage stupid passions?

Nadi Astrology Centre (Predictions)

Predicting my future, the astrologer of Nadi Astrology Centre said “Your ascendant is Sagittarius.”
“No.” I said.
“See here the number nine written on the bottom left corner which means that your ascendant is Sagittarius.”
“But….”
“Aren’t your Mercury and Venus in the zodiac sign Sagittarius?”
“Yes. They are. But….”
“Aren’t your Moon and Ketu in Aries, Jupiter in Taurus, Saturn in Cancer, Rahu in Libra?”
“Yes. But….”
“Aren’t your Sun and Mars in Scorpio?”
“Yes. But my ascendant is Scorpio and not Sagittarius. I know ASTROLOGY.” I said confidently.
The face expressions of astrologer changed. He took out the pen from his pocket and corrected his mistake with his initials on it.

What would be appropriate for him, paying the fees calmly or a slap for cheating me, not finding my leaf, not predicting through leaf but posing as these are all genuine leaf predictions and not only this but while predicting like an ordinary astrologer with date and time of my birth making a blunder mistake?

Nadi Astrology Centre (Leaf Search)

“It is written that Munni has a younger sister.” An astrologer translated the written material in Tamil for me. Many years back, sages wrote the future on bundles and bundles of leaves for the betterment of humanity. These sages predicted the characteristics, family history, as well as the careers of innumerable individuals contain in several thousand volumes, each containing around a hundred predictions on leaves. There are set of statements on a leaf if all are found to be correct and matched properly then your leaf is found. And then the predictions written on that leaf are translated by astrologers of Nadi Astrology Center.
“No. My name is Chandrika and I have a younger brother not sister.”
“So, this leave is not for you. We will search another.” He turned over the leaf and said, “The name is Chandrika who has a younger brother and is born in the month of February.”
“No. In the month of December.”
“Next leaf said that the person is born in the month of December on 23rd.”
“No. On 3rd December.”
Slowly and gradually he flipped through more leaves and gathered all information required to convince me that my leave was found. He also asked my date of birth and time of birth for doing predictions. Not only this he also asked me what I want in my life and what is my aim in life. I told him as I was very curious to know how sages have predicted the future on leaves for each one of us.

Will he surprise me by fraud methods of future predictions or will I surprise him with my innocent nature?

Stressful life and greying of hair

“These days, my life is so stressful that my hair have started greying.” A young woman told me.
“Now you can color your hair with purple dye.” I suggested.
“I don’t want to be a clown.”
“Purple color hair looks cool with purple color dress.”

Do you agree or disagree that the common reason of greying of hair is stressful life?

“Never heard of it.”
“NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month in which the writers from all over the world participate. They have to write 50,000 or more words novel in one month.” Mr. 'K' explained.

Last date of joining is 31st October. Should I join it or no?

Meditation means ….

“With closed eyes sitting for hours and hours doesn’t mean doing meditation. No, it is not meditation. Meditation means that you are totally involved in whatever you are doing. It may be cooking food, it may be servicing a poor or it may be doing your office work. Forget yourself in doing that task. And when you come out of it you have to erase the factor ‘I’ from it. You have to wipe out ‘I did that work’. This is what meditation means to be completely absorbed in work without thinking about the factor ‘I’.” A saint explained the meaning of meditation to an elderly woman.

Do you agree or disagree with the saint?

Loud and clear whisper

“We will be doing it tonight.” On watching a scene in which hero and heroine were enjoying French kiss; a boyfriend whispered to his girl friend. They were watching an English comedy movie in a hall.
I was sitting behind them and could clearly hear the plan.
“What did you say?” The girl friend asked him.

What do you think a whisper should be so loud and clear that it could be heard by everyone except the person for whom it was meant? ;-)

Photographic humour

Photograph 1 : Cat was inspecting a parakeet inside the cage.
Photograph 2 : Cat was sleeping and parakeet was playing on cat’s head and the cage’s door was opened.
Photograph 3 : Cat was inside the cage, its door was closed and parakeet was enjoying outside the cage. :-D

I saw these photographs on a humour site and wanted to share with you all. :-D

Do you think this was reality or cat and parakeet were models who were directed to act?

“First I will fill the colors in my blog.” I said.

No reply from past one and a half year

“You didn’t call, mail or send any sms to me even ONCE during the past one and a half year. I know you were busy in your career but at least you should have find time to reply my calls, mails and smss. I was worried about you and you didn’t bother about my feelings.” I complained to my friend.
“I bagged Outstanding Performance Award and that I do not want to tell you on phone, emal or sms. I want to tell you personally. When we meet….” My friend told me with a smile.

Should I give my friend a punch on face or a warm hug?

No one is born a Genius though becomes one by forgetting things

“ “I forgot my admit card.” I worriedly said to my uncle who was driving scooter on the busy road of Delhi. We were about to reach my examination centre for my higher secondary final exams. Instead of scolding, my uncle took a U turn towards house. This is 20 years old incidence but it is as fresh as it has happened just now.” Mr ‘M’ narrated me.

“No one is born a Genius though becomes one by forgetting things.” I told him. :-D

Have you ever forgotten such an important thing? ;-)

So cute! So active!

“So cute!” It was my mom’s friend reaction on seeing me first time. At that time I was a baby. I was in my mom’s lap and my mom was feeding me with tomato soup. She picked up the bowl to fill the spoon. Immediately, I kicked the bowl with my tiny foot with such a force that my mom lost her grip and the entire bowl liquid was on my mom’s friend’s cream silk sari.
“So active!” She changed her views about me.

Cute and active baby is one year old in the field of blogging.

The other side of the coin.

You presented only one side of the coin, Chandrika. That’s not fair.
I have an illegitimate sibling. My Dad wants to give an equal share to that f*** in MY GRAND PA’s property. That’s MY money and ONLY MINE.
The guy in blue shirt mailed me.

Money can’t be yours until and unless it is in your name. So it’s pretty shallow of you to say so. I replied.

Do you think fighting the case against father is justified with this explanation?

Story of a guy in blue shirt

“Do you know him, the one in blue shirt?” Mrs. ‘T’ asked me pointing towards a young guy.
“Yaeh. He is a decent guy.” I replied.
“DECENT!?! He has filed a case against his father.” She disclosed the latest news to me.
“What??!??”
“The case is about ancestral property.”
“How could one fight over a few bucks with his father who gave him this body?” I said with a surprise.
“He is in a hurry and can’t wait till his father die.” She was enjoying the spicy conversation.
“He is neither handicap nor mentally retarded. He is intelligent and earning well. Moreover he is single. Then why he is fighting?” I was perplexed.
“With this fight, he has divided his house in two zones with no communication between them and I pity his mother as he is her ONLY SON.”

With this court case whom do you think the guy in blue shirt is hurting more, his father or his mother?

Daily drama

EVERYDAY,
i) he opens a new account in pseudo name on ‘XYZ’ site.
ii) he starts a new thread to vent out his emotions.
iii) he replies to comments on the same thread but writes only one more post i.e. Total posts : 2.
He is repeating this tedious job from the past 19 days.

May be he is scared that I may write about him on my blog therefore he changes his name, EVERYDAY. ;-)

Chinese toys

I am in a toy shop searching a plaything for 11 year old child. The market is flooded with beautiful, vibrant and tempting toys. I select a vivid, distinct and cheap toy appropriate for that age group.

‘Made in China’ was printed on the left corner of the box.

Should I buy the toy as it is very attractive, unique and comes in my budget or should not buy it as it was in news that Chinese toys contain toxins which are harmful for the children?

Everybody lacks patience

“This season heavy rains are pouring. All at once they start, downpour heavily and stop. There is no drizzling or light rains this time.” I said.
“These days everybody lacks patience. Even clouds are in a hurry as they have to pour rains to other places also.” Mr. ‘X’ commented with a beaming smile. :-D

Friend's family life

“Do not interfere in MY family life, Chandrika.” My friend whose family problem I was trying to solve told me.
"Sorry. I thought it was OUR family." I said.

Do we need friends to say ‘hi’ and ‘bye’, to do parties and have fun or to solve the complicated family and financial problems?

Discipline

“Two elderly people were talking so vulgar that I had to ask my son to get up from there.” A middle age man was narrating an incidence of a shopping mall where he, his teenage son and two elderly men were sitting in a waiting lounge of a parlour.

What was teen age son thinking ‘Oh Sh*t! I can’t enjoy the spicy gossip becoz of dad.’ or ‘Discipline is only for me!’ ? ;-)

A silent visit

“Stay away from my blog, Chandrika.” Mr. ‘R’ shouted on me.
I was deeply hurt as I was suggesting improvements for his blog and wanted his blog to be a popular one.

After that I stopped visiting his blog and started writing on my blog. Now one day, he silently visited my blog.

Should I say “Stay away from my blog” or “Thanks for reading my posts.” ?

A blind beggar

A blind man in shabby clothes was standing in the middle of the highway on which vehicles were moving with great speed. He was spreading his palms for alms.

Do you think he was begging money or wanted compensation if any speedy vehicle hit him?

Staring

I waved my hand in front of the face of a middle aged person who was staring at me.
“Oho! Actually I was thinking something.” He said.

Was he really thinking looking into my eyes or did he want to lock eyes with me?

Reduced AC temperature

I and a middle aged woman (not known to me) were waiting in AC office of Mr. ‘S’. He was not on his seat. After forty five minutes he arrived. He made himself comfortable, reduced AC temperature and switched on the fan.

I started discussing official matter with him and the woman slowly removed stole wrapped around her neck and placed it in her handbag. Now, not only her beautiful neck but more than that was visible.

The temperature inside that room was hot or cool? ;-)

“How much foul smell you dirty fellow spread?” A lady shouted on a sweeper who was cleaning the passage situated in the open space of a hotel. Her husband with a lit cigarette in his mouth was escorting her.

mY dEaReSt EnEmY!

I have posted a photo album ‘Emotional me’ on a social networking site. In it, there is a photograph of a young guy in his mid-thirties. He has a doomed bald head and a fair face. Dark brown dyed moustaches matches perfectly with twinkling little brown eyes behind designer wear spectacles. Shades of innocence and cunningness can be seen clearly in those eyes.

Below that photograph I have written ‘He changed my life……… mY dEaReSt EnEmY!’

Today is his birthday. Should I wish him or no?

“God bless u with a beautiful wife!” An elderly woman said to a young guy who touched her feet.

Comment : Ur style of writing is very impressive. There is indeed a traffic jam of thoughts. We want to write but can't.

You have mentioned that you want to write but can't. Is it because you are extremely busy, juggling career, home etc. or because you are SHY? When I was a full time working woman and mom too, I used to write during my lunch hour at office. Sometimes just a paragraph, but I wrote. Everyone has his/her unique voice, let it out.

Strange house

Oh My! What a strange house is this! Not a single piece of furniture or decorative item in the drawing room and the adjacent L shaped dinning room. As I entered the house of a client, I was not only surprised but rather shocked. I took a few steps and sighed, at least a well equipped kitchen with all modern electrical gadgets was there.

The hostess was a young lady in her mid thirties who asked me to follow her towards the other end of the house. While passing through a narrow passage, I noticed, the two bedrooms were also empty. On reaching in the third one my shock took the shape of confusion. There was only one double bed on which a senior citizen was lying and viewing a plasma TV on wall. A window ac was throwing cool air which seemed hot to me.

They both reside in that house, now can you guess what is the relationship between the two?

Blocked me

Three months before :
One of my blog readers sent a friend request to me on a social networking site. I replied that it was only for my close friends and relatives. I apologised her for not accepting it. She said its ok and withdrew her friend’s request.

Yesterday, I was surprised to notice that she blocked me on that site.

I can’t understand why she block me after three months??!??

Crack in the specs

“You forgot your spectacles at home. Then how did you watch movie in cinema hall on that day?” I wanted to know from my cousin.

“Hehe hehe. I have another spec whose one glass is cracked and temple arm is broken on other side.” He replied.

“Watching movie must be an awesome experience!” :-D

Accident of Innocent animal

My car was moving with high speed on National Highway. A truck was coming in the other lane a little behind to car. Suddenly a bull appeared and started crossing the road. It had a limp which slowed its speed. It was in the middle of the road then decided to go back. As larger vehicle was coming in that lane, it decided to continue its journey to cross the road. Its indecisiveness confused my driver. The distance was too less and speed was too high. It seems for a few seconds bull will be killed. But driver took a fast decision, put the harsh brakes. The car only touched the animal with the slightest pressure.

Consequently my back ached the whole day but I was relieved an animal is SAVED.

Who is responsible for such accidents on roads; the owner who leave innocent animals without giving any food or the driver who even with careful driving hit these animals because of high speed?

ok chandra..;)

So what does it mean; beginning of friendship or relationship?

Special Toilets

In the morning, as I opened the door of the house five pigeons flapped and flew away. The ceiling fan of the veranda was slightly moving. They must have spent the whole night on it.

I looked at the floor.
“Government must construct special toilets for pigeons, separate for males and females.” Only this I could think. ;-)

In between

Mr. ‘Y’ narrated an incidence from his recent trip to a European country, “One day, I was going for a walk, two guys stopped me and talked in Spanish. I told them I couldn’t understand it. One of them in broken English told, “We are here to spread the message of GOD and talk about your life’s goal.” I noticed then only they were wearing a white T-shirt on which ‘Jesus is Great’ was written. I told them that right now my goal was to have an ice-cream. And hurriedly I left that place before they could understand my goal.”

“Such situations should be avoided and ice cream is the best option for that.” I said.

“One should avoid talking to strangers about politics and religion and one should avoid talking to friends about relationships.”

“Out of the two categories, in which category do I fall?” I asked. ;-)

“Somewhere in between…..” ;-))

“Do you want to be my friend on Social Networking Site?”

Baby lizard

Something suddenly and unexpectedly fell on me from the top of the car seat while I was travelling. My reflex action was shrugging of shoulders and moving of hands with a shriek to remove that. I saw a baby lizard running in between the space to hide leaving its dancing tail behind.

A rare fight

In general, birds fight for three things mate, food and space for making nest. All of us must have watched many birds like common myna, parakeets fighting one or the other time. Have you ever viewed the fight of two peacocks with long brilliant colored beautiful feathers?

When I was in my study I was distracted by the sounds of flapping and fluttering. Just like a curious bird, I peeped out of the window. Two metallic –blue peacocks with shades of green on their body, in possession of magnificent plumage in a mixture of bright green, royal blue and brown color, maintaining a constant distance with each other were rotating in a circle, keeping a keen eye on each other’s slightest movements. Almost at the same time both of them flew at a distance of 7-8 feet high, their beaks trying to hurt each other with a great force. The one, who was hurt, came down to the ground first. As soon as the second one landed on ground then they started swirling looking in each other’s eyes with hatred, flew again at near about same height to wound the other one. This whirling, flying, injuring continued confused; what could be the reason of their fight as peacock is considered to be a very shy bird? As my mind got bored of the same fighting scenes, I viewed my whole lawn and found a peahen standing in the corner of a lawn, meekly watching their fight.

What do you think the peahen was thinking?

He replied :

A car hit me

As I was walking on the side of the road without footpath, I was hit by something from behind. Before I could realise anything what had happened it hit me again. I hurriedly get aside and was surprised to see the culprit as a car in which a young driver and two senior citizens were sitting. The driver and senior citizens had no facial expressions of apology. Seeing this I shouted that he could not drive properly. The driver grinned and frowns on my face increased in size and number. Before I could say more, I overheard a comment by a passer by woman, “Give him a tight slap.”

Kulfi

After having lunch, a heavy one, I decided to eat kulfi to beat the heat. I ordered one. I realised my mistake as first bite of kulfi reached my stomach. It was rich and thick with lots of dry fruits. Half eaten my stomach seemed to be filled.

Silence

“Your sense of humour is superb.” I appreciated Mr. ‘R’ when he cracked a self created joke. A smile appeared on his face on hearing his appreciation. I, who have some knowledge of psychology said, “In general, the persons who are witty have a very painful and sorrowful life and they use their sense of humour as an escape from the darkness of their lives. I hope this is not true in your case.”

He became silent and didn’t respond. He sunk into deep thoughts.

What did silence mean; I correctly interpreted about his life or I made such an irrelevant statement that he preferred to ignore me?

As the young guy gladly came down, girl’s father refused to marry her daughter to him.

Shubham

A guy named ‘Shubham …………(Surname)’ wrote to me on facebook.
You have a nice surname :P

I replied :
Its my name. :) Nice to meet u virtually. :) U can read more about me on http://chandrikashubham.blogspot.com

ohh ohk.. i was a little intrigued.. have seen a lot of guys named "shubham", but a girl.. that too the second name :)
nonetheless, its a beautiful name, won't you say that.. lol

your blog is really cool.. keep up the good work..

Yaeh, its a beautiful name given to me by my grand pa. Earlier it was my first name. And at that time nobody had the name 'Shubham' except me. It was an uncommon name. Someone suggested me to change my name with the letter 'ch' so 'Chandrika' become my first name. I didn't remove it as I loved the name 'Shubham'. When all the eleborate processes was done for the name changing then Mr. Somebody told me that it was also wrong as he advised to have a name starting with 'chu' and not 'ch'. So in future I will be changing my name to Chudamani. :-D

Thanks for praises. :)

lol.. thats really interesting :) so probably in future you will be called Chudamani Chandrika Shubham :P don't change ur name too often, or else you might end up with a longer name than Chaminda Vaas :) (i don't kno if you follow cricket but he is supposedly the player with the longest name in the world)

this also tells me u were born before me, coz i have always existed with the name "shubham".. haha..
but i wud agree.. it was an uncommon name when i was born, but can be seen at every nook n corner these days.. shubham banquet hall, shubham boutique, shubham valley restaurant etc etc

Should I have a longer name to break the record or this is sufficently long? :-D

Home Work

“Why are you sounding so tired?” On phone, I inquired to a mother of school going boy. The boy was studying in sixth standard of a reputed convent school of the town.

“Actually I was preparing a project assigned to him.” She explained.
“And what he is going?” Surprised with the answer I asked.
“Wandering from here and there, doing nothing.”

Does the school gives home work and projects to keep parents busy or for the cognitive development of the child?

Struggle for life

Chameleon was struggling hard for its life. It fell in the septic tank and was trying to come out but slipped back because of the slippery surface of flush. It was trying again and again. It took rest to regain its energy. It attempted once more. All was in vain.

I was watching it, how it could be saved? Have I to put my hands in filthy water of septic tank?

A traveller

As I was putting the soiled utensils in my kitchen sink, I found a pair of eyes staring at me behind the fixed strainer. I hurriedly bent down to remove the drainage pipe to free that little creature. To my disappointment, the metal pipeline was attached to concrete sink with one end and the other in the sewage line. I tried hard but it couldn’t be removed.

I am sorry to say that the little creature with pleading eyes could not be freed. Can you guess who the creature was to travel such a long distance from main drainage to our house line to the kitchen sub line and climb the narrow steep pipe to reach that meeting point? :-)

News headline

‘Save life of needy hard worker’ headline of a local newspaper grabbed my attention. I went through the whole news. It was about a labourer who met an accident by an unidentified vehicle. He was seriously injured and was admitted to the hospital.

He is a poor man who can’t afford treatment. His friends and close ones are bearing the expenses. His little ones need their Dad badly. Anybody who wishes to help him can donate for him on available contacts. And the positive responses have started coming as there was a pocket-sized list of donors. :-)

What do you want to read in the morning; scandals, rapes, murders, blasts and other spicy stories or such a common man story with an optimistic approach in it?

Earth hour

Date: 27.03.2010
Time: 10:30pm

“Did you celebrate earth hour?” Mrs ‘G’ a school teacher and my known inquired.
“Was it today?” Asked I, a person who is always overburdened with work. “Actually I thought today is 25th.” I tried to clarify.
“That was two days before.” She laughed on my innocence.
“So how did you celebrate it?”
“We switched off all the lights from 8:30 to 9:30 pm to prove our stand against the climate change.”
“Nice.” I could only utter this word as I was feeling ashamed of myself.
“Exactly after half past eight there was no electricity. And it didn’t turn up till now.” :-D

Is there an importance of earth hour where there are so much power cuts?

Half century

“You are a f***ing bore person.” A known middle aged lady taunted or teased me. I dunno.

This is a 50th post by a f***ing bore person. :-)

Out of 50 posts, which post you liked the most and which you couldn’t complete without yawning?

Licensed to love

One side of the hill:
“Before going, do the kuchi puchi. Say ‘I LOVE YOU’.” Asked a lady wearing churha (bangles wore just after the marriage) to her hubby. Her husband was not going on a war for the sake of country rather he was going for an aerial adventure with extra security measures on steel cables between Aravali hills which is better known as zipping. What a difficult task he has to perform!

After reaching the other side:
“I was so scared till you reached here safely.” Saying this, hubby lovingly kissed his wife.

They did all; hugs, kisses and love bites except ……

Are newly weds are licensed to do all this on public places? Or do you think I live in eighteenth century? :-D

Chemistry between husband and wife

“Half kg refined oil.” A lady read out from the list of items written on a paper in her hand. She was purchasing monthly ration from a reputed store in a town. “Is it good?” She said looking doubtfully at the colourful packet handed over by the shopkeeper. “It is of the best quality.” Shopkeeper tried to convince her. She turned around and gave a confused look to her husband who was sitting behind on a chair. He beamed. He came close to her and softly took the list from her hand and started ordering the items from the list.

Is husband loving and caring or wife too much dependent on him who can’t even buy daily household items?

Buzz

Mr. ‘X’ buzzed on my post ‘Save Camel’ as

Even i saw many camels in my city visakhapatnam at beach where people are showing intrest to ride on it and having joy , at evenings in our beach u can find some 6 to 7 camels in our hometown beach , Coming to need of camel sanctuary , i can say camels can dwell well at coastal beachside towns rather than in deserts bcoz they can get food easily without any difficulty and get maintaince cost easily in beachside towns where as in deserts u will find it difficult for camel tammers to maintain it.....so i regard there is no need of camel sanctuary to save camel !!!! Mar 14

If all camels will be living on sea shores then there will be no need to roast fish before eating. :-D

Can the ship of desert live well on sea shores?

Save camel

"When I was kid, I used to call all my cousins from Delhi to visit my place. I invited them for camel viewing. We used to enjoy their rides and had great fun with their young ones." A young guy narrated me when I visited a small town in Rajasthan.
"With the rapid industrialisation of this town, from the past one year I haven't seen single camel here." He informed me gloomily.
Seeing sadness on his face I couldn't resist smiling as he got married only a year before. :)

Will we soon need a camel sanctuary? ;-) Save camel. :)

New tenants

Back from a vacation, exhausted with a long journey, I entered the toilet of my house to freshen up my face. Some new faces greeted me in the wash basin. Aha!! New tenants without the permission of landlord! I am sure they won’t pay the rent until I file a case on them. :-D

Any wild guess about the tenants?

Don't panic

On a social networking site, a reputed doctor instead of putting on view his photo in profile, he posted a photo with a board on which in red bold letters was written ‘DON’T PANIC’. The board didn’t read in microscopic words ‘On seeing my bills’. :-D

I wanna know on seeing a doc how does one feel; start shivering that he will be giving injections and bitter medicines or have a feeling of relief that now the painful disease will be cured?

Statutory warning: ‘DON’T PANIC’ on reading my post. ;-D

Effect of bhang

In a drink party, Mrs. ‘D’ narrated an incident to me. “Last year, on Holi, the festival of colors, I took bhang. Have you ever taken bhang?”
“Not yet.” I replied. She took a sip and said, “We all friends had fun on that day. We played with colors and balloons. Exhausted, we gathered together in my friend’s house. Bhang a cool milk beverage with light green shade was ready to remove our tiredness.” She swallowed a large amount and continued, “I sipped the delicious sweet drink with a flavor of spices and almonds. I relished it so much that I gulped down glasses and glasses of that, how many, I can’t recall.”

She looked into the glass as if she could see the reflections of that time in the wine. When she couldn’t find the next line to narrate she threw some more wine down her throat. “I started thinking what will be the effect of bhang on neurons. You know neurons – nerve cells.” I nodded. “It will be affecting neurons in several ways. It will be altering their membranes, along with their ion channels, enzymes, and receptors. It will be depressing neurons responsible for controlled behaviour and definitely affecting my thinking powers. Next day a friend told me that I was talking about the neurons and only the neurons when I was high.”

I glanced at the glass she was holding. It was now “Empty.” Not a single wine drop left in her glass and she was talking about neurons and only neurons. :-)

High up there, what do you talk about? ;-)

Hobbies

"My hobbies are to eat, sleep and watch TV." A girl in her late teens told me. I thoroughly viewed her. Yeah, she was right her physique was also saying so. :)

We were sitting in a waiting lounge. I asked about her just to pass the time. But such great hobbies I had never heard.

What hobbies do you have? Do you have any hobby which differentiate you from others?

Relationship

I was quite surprised as I noticed the personal information about relationship status of a 17 year old guy on a social networkin site on which he has mentioned that he is in a relationship. It seems to be a craze among teens to be in a relationship without even knowing how a person feels when he or she is in a relationship.

How one can know he or she is in relationship? Do you know? ;-)

Working hands

Walking through a crowded market of Gurgaon, a child's voice grabbed my attention. He was almost running to keep pace with me. He was carrying two packets in his hand and a polythene bag full of more packets in other hand. So a sales kid he was! I paused and looked towards him. He said, "I buy them directly from the factory. That's why it will cost you less."
"How much?" Although I was not in need of those packets but still kid's marketing skills were drawing my attention.
"One packet will cost ...." I couldn't hear the price because of car honk. "And if you buy two I will give you 25% discount."

My question is if I buy those packets from him, am I encouraging child labour or am I making a person self reliant?

Worst abuse

Two male senior citizens Mr 'X' and 'Y' were playing a blame game over a trifle. Mr.'X' who was more fussy, yelled, "......." On hearing such a high pitched voice with a steaming hot abuse, Mr 'Y's' wife who was standing nearby, fainted. :)

What do you think the person have said? What a worst abuse one have ever heard of course without fainting! ;-)

Serious or humorous

A single male in his mid thirties asked a question somewhere on net. His query was
"What he would do if he knew for surety that he would be alone for whole of his life?
1. Marry a woman whom he doesn't love.
2. Adopt a baby.
3. Do charity.
4. Commit suicide."

Serious : How can he be so sure that he would be alone for whole of his life? What is the reason(s) for choosing a lonely life? A clearer picture will help in finding better solutions. :)
1. Love is cultivated and nurtured with time. :)
2. Only one, why not many. :)
3. One can keep oneself sufficient busy by doing good things and by helping the needy. :)
4. Life is so beautiful full of plenty of options so die a natural death. :)

Humorous : 1. Getting married is not the only option, there are other options also. ;-)
2. Being Dad and mom would be far more easier than just father. ;-)
3. Charity begins at home. ;-)
4. Explore the net properly, many options are available. ;-)
Do all the options from 1 to 4 but in sequence. ;-)

Which is the better set of answers 'Serious' or 'Humorous'?

Blue sky

"What is the colour of sky?", I asked to divert a kid's mind who was disturbing me. We, were in car on National Highway No.8. I was working on my laptop. I was busy as important work was to be completed before reaching the destination.
"Grey.", Quick child replied.
"No, Its blue." I said with my eyes fixed on screen.
"Its grey." He replied confidently.
I looked up, out of the window pane. Pollution, smoke and dust had covered the sky, giving it somewhat greyish tinge.

Will the coming generations be taught that sky is grey? :) Can we bring back the naturality of the sky?

Kamdhenu

While strolling on the path, my uncle said, "Chandrika, did u notice? It is the grave of that holy cow." Flowers on that grave grabbed my attention for a while. "You remember when you last time visited the guashala (cattle house), you gave her jaggery to eat."
"Which one?" I couldn't recall as I had given jaggery to many.
"The blind cow of steel grey color." He reminded me.
"Oh! that one."
"A wish fulfilling cow. It has brought pleasure and happiness in the lives of many."
I thought, "When I last time visited this place, I have a very strong desire to go to a foreign land. I have never been to any other country. In less than a week I was in US. Prior to that visit, my programme has been cancelled hundreds of times."

Was my visit to a foreign land a coincidence or a religious faith? Can a cow be in possesion of supernatural powers to look inside a person and fulfill what one is yearning for? Please express your frank opinions about it.

Note : In the photo in Hindi it is written,
"Kamdhenu Grave Yard"
Blind from the birth, this cow lived in this cattle house for six years.
Has fulfilled the desires of many, who visited her.
This cow was a real avtar.
The blessings of this cow would fulfill your life with happiness, its a proven fact.

Do not pluck flowers

In a garden, a signboard read as 'Do not pluck flowers'. It was fixed in the mid of a Lantana camara (Spanish Flag) bush. It grabbed my attention as in this region, Lantana camara is a weed and comes up vigorously, requires very less water. If consumed, it causes indigestion to sheep, cattle and horses. It is a very big threat to the population of native plants.

Lantana camara bears multi-colored tiny flowers with no fragrance. But this very bush have dull yellow colored inner and outer rings. The stems are square in shape covered with bristly hair or scattered small prickles. The leaf blades are oval, rough and hairy. Even touching this plant may cause skin irritation or allergy. Its berries are poisonous if ingested. In short each and every part of it is poisonous.

Will anybody like to steal such flowers whose after effects will be rushing to hospital? :-D

Best wishes

Yester morning, door bell rang. I opened the door. Mail boy delivered me a white envelop. I opened it and found a greeting card. The card was so simple, beautiful and full of nice words that I couldn't resist myself from writing a blog on it.

It was from an eighty-two years old retired person. He always sends birthday wishes, anniversary greetings and blessings to all in the locality. It is a good way to keep himself busy by pouring positive vibrations in other's life and filling their's life with positivity.

What can be other possible ways by which a senior citizen can keep himself busy and happy?

Spelling mistakes

My english teacher put a round mark around the word 'ther', I straightened my neck to see what she had written on my classwork notebook. In red ink, she just put a 'i' in between letter 'e' and 'r'. At that time I was in third standard. My teacher patiently corrected a few more silly mistakes. While circling the word 'cheld', her degree of tolerance decreased drastically and shouted, "You make so many spelling mistakes. Your English is very poor." Instead of saying I will improve them, I said, "Actually ma'am, my Hindi (my mother tongue) is also weak." Would she slap me? Amused with witty reply she wrote 'Good'. :)

What do you think does the spell checkers in computer have made writting an easy-to-do task as compared to writting with pen and paper?

Mutual benefit

"Wanna glasses?" a young guy asked an aged villager, sitting in a group near a bonfire. The older one nodded. The guy squatted to show the glasses he was carrying on his hand. Villager picked up one, put it on the face and looked up and down, towards the farthest point and the close objects. Removed it and tried a new one offered by the moving shop. The black carry bag on the guy's shoulder contained the shopping items. The villager repeated the viewing of all things. Must have liked it so asked for its price. A good bargaining proved fruitful, of course for both.

A person buying a spectacles without consulting an optician! Is the villager looking COOL in his new purchase?

Zeal

A little bit lazy person I was, so took this photo while sitting on my seat. There was not much space to move. It was raining cats and dogs and the crowd was huge to attend the function. Muddy puddles were formed here and there. Rain water was seeping from the tent ceiling when extra polythene sheets could no longer hold it. Heavy showers led to the formation of small pools on the ceiling which were constantly dripping. To find a dry seat was tough and to detain it was much tougher. :)

It was the fifth annual function of Gaushala (cattle house) in a tiny village Mangali. It is run and organised by self help group. Homeless, hungry and injured cows are brought here. It provides food, shelter and medical treatment to them.

The villagers were concerned about the welfare of the innocent animals. They were eager to do everything. Local businessmen, farmers, housewives and senior citizens were enthusiastically taking part and giving donations delightfully. Children were giving money out of their piggy banks. A child in shabby clothes shivering from cold, came forward and gave one rupee as charity.

Who sacrificed more, a rich chap who gave 500 bucks from his pocket money or a poor one who gave all his treasure; one coin.

New Year Resolution

"My New Year Resolution is to have nuptial ties." Ms. 'S' replied to me. "Next year, her New Year Resolution will be to have a baby." I thought. :-)

Here the point to ponder is when there is so much sorrow, pain, poverty, then how could one be so selfish? Mentally and physically challenged needs our love and affection and care. Ill persons and senior citizens who can't look after themselves, it becomes our obliged duty to take care of them. Even after green revolution, there are a few regions where poor can't afford one time meal. Is it the time to think about just own selfish self or about the ones who are less fortunate?

My New Year Resolution is that I will help everyone through my knowledge of Vastushastra. Vastushastra is an ancient science of Indian architect. With the help of this science, financial problems, health problems and other common problems can be sorted out by making small changes in the house or work place. If anybody needs my help can write to me. I am here to help you all.

What is your New Year Resolution? Please do share.

Happy 2010. :)
