I waved my hand in front of the face of a middle aged person who was staring at me.
“Oho! Actually I was thinking something.” He said.
Was he really thinking looking into my eyes or did he want to lock eyes with me?

ReplyDeleteThinking or not ,u must decide ;)
Staring at the star!! you were resembling a celebrity to him?
ReplyDeletepeople these days are always in thoughts :D..
ReplyDeleteurs..hemu..
I am sure he was looking at you, locking eyes with you.. Ab aap aage hoge to aap ko hi dekhega na :) he hehe
ReplyDeleteHappens a lot, I guess. Sometimes people get lost in thought and forget where they are or who they are with! Unless of course, you are breathtakingly beautiful or stunningly ugly! :)
ReplyDeleteOr when someone meets the love of his/her life for the first time. :)
He was awaiting your reaction to make his decision.
ReplyDeleteanything possible.
ReplyDeleteHe's looking beyond you.
ReplyDeleteHe might be looking through you!
ReplyDeleteIf he fell for u, he would have lost himself in your eyes. If not, these days people are pondering over things without even realizing where they are or whom they are watching..!!
ReplyDeletehe might be thinking something !!!
ReplyDeleteIf it is your first experience, he might be thinking..
ReplyDeleteIf you have similar experiences before, he might have lied..
Visiting you after a long interval..
By that time, you managed the chit-chatter in yourself in a surprising way..
I suspect that that question remaining unanswered is the true poem here.
ReplyDeleteYou judge whether he was caught unawares or telling the truth.
ReplyDeletethoughts definitely !!
ReplyDeletemaybe you could have left him there...then you would have known if he was 'staring' and where...
ReplyDeleteMaybe the kumkum/tikka was off centre and he was thinking and wondered whether to tell you.
ReplyDeletemaybe he was thinking.. happens a lot with me and I end up in an embarrassing situation..
ReplyDeletelooking and locking!! Ohh! He should be lost in his own thoughts and would've kept staring...coz it happened to me many times :)
ReplyDeleteHow are you? Updated my blog
ReplyDeletelocking...for sure :)
ReplyDeleteEmbarrassing. At least some acticity in the bubblebrain.
ReplyDeleteThinking!
ReplyDeletesometimes it happens:)
ReplyDeleteWell Di!! I would say that u r a better judge as it could've been easily deduced by the tone in which the line was delivered. We here don't have the advantage of having hearing the sound... So it could've been either and it would be an equal distribution of people who would go each way only reading the words... Coz evryone wud read it with a different tone in their head...!!
ReplyDeleteSo U tell what tone was it... Did it contain the exasperation of a broken thought chain... a broken reverie.... with a li'l bit of embarrassment... or was it a straight line meant to be delivered in a flat voice hiding the emotions?? A question for you... :D
I meant (having heard the sound)* in above comment
ReplyDeleteI can more objective and accurate if I can see those eyes.. (ok i know itss tooo cheessee..but couldn't resists the lines..;))
ReplyDelete@ everyone : Thanks a lot. :)
