I wrote to Mr. 'Y' a voyager :
The best thing on your social networking site is the world map showing 178 cities in 36 countries which you have visited till now. Hope you will soon visit the rest of the world.
He replied :
I hope so too.. to visit alteast most part of the world before I die..;)) I haven't step my foot in Central and South America, Australia, large part of Africa so much places to visit..
I have seen only two countries, India and US. And if I count the cities then it will hardly be 25. Oho! I forget to tell that I have also seen Dubai airport where I changed my flight during my US trip. :-)
How many countries and cities you have visited?

ReplyDeleteSomehow, the distance does separate your destiny.
After reading this, I felt a sudden uneasiness at the fact that in all these years of life I have seen so much less of this world.
I have visited around 1000, virtually!!! I watch the program '1000 Place to See Before you Die' on Discovery Channel!
ReplyDeleteBut no regrets, I am on a spree to discover India first. I don't think I can complete it before I die.
Exactly 10 so far and that feels like so few! :(
ReplyDeleteWon't it be just nice if one can clock 100 in a life-time? And apparently, there's even a Traveller's Century Club!
