Injection

A 7-8 year boy screamed, shouted, cried, moved his hands and legs irregularly as he didn’t want to give his blood sample.
“It will pain me.” He said as tears were flowing from his red eyes. Tears covered his chubby cheeks.

Does injection gives so much pain or just a slight feeling of insertion?

  1. It is like that cold feeling when you have to enter into a stream..

  2. I hate needles, I can not watch it. If it's done properly it's like a mosquito bite. Boy has to man up a bit, he'll face syringes through is hopefully long life.

  5. It is more fear than pain always.

  6. I agree with Rachna..its more the anticipation of pain.

  7. There is definitely the psychological aspect of fear due to expected pain. But at the same time, injections do hurt.

  8. If administered properly, you'll feel just the prick of the needle. Some nurses can make it awfully painful. And yeah, like Rachna said, it's more the anticipation of pain than pain itself that most of them fear!

  9. The first time it does not hurt ( or by the time you realise, it's over), but the second time you know the pain and fear that. But fortunately the needles have become finer, technicians better... but an injection is an injection!
