This year I received New Year Greetings from my friends and relatives via electronic media. I would say that I was lucky to received one greeting card. It was yellow colored paper on which wishes were printed in red ink. That was from an 84 years old man in our locality.
The card was misprinted as
From
P. K. Singal
where as his name is R.K. Singal.
With the red pen a slant line was marked to convert ‘P’ into ‘R’ on 250 cards for all residents. Hats off to such enthu.

Those days cards start to flow during the seasons with different stamps, envelops and designs. Nowadays we set the date on e-greeting and just permeate your inbox!!

I received less than ten cards, but have sent out circa ninety, handmade with a photograph and written greetings. Nearly all were private, not business related.

ReplyDeleteI have one full pack of greeting cards, which I had bought long back (cry cards), when I had the habit of sending them during deepawali and New year! Now, I don't send any and don't receive any! Feel sad in a small corner of my heart, though!
