Shravan Adhik Maas: The Auspicious Month to Worship Lord Shiva

In the Hindu calendar, Shravan Maas holds great significance as it is dedicated to Lord Shiva, the supreme God of destruction. He enhances inner transformation through non attachment with materialistic things. Every three years, an extra lunar month called Adhik Maas, also known as Purushottam Maas, falls between the regular months to fill the gap between the solar and lunar calendar time. This year it is from 18th July to 16th August 2023.
