Relationship

I was quite surprised as I noticed the personal information about relationship status of a 17 year old guy on a social networkin site on which he has mentioned that he is in a relationship. It seems to be a craze among teens to be in a relationship without even knowing how a person feels when he or she is in a relationship.

How one can know he or she is in relationship? Do you know? ;-)

  1. Perhaps the word "status" is a clue.

  2. Very geniune and a valid concern chandu. Infact i wrote a similar post some time back and tried to bring up the point that its high time, the working parents should take care of the kids too. In recent times, we have lost our traditional and cultural values and are blindly running towards westernisation. Our priorities have changed. We are going nowhere.

  6. hi!:)
umm.... what a deep subject ! thanks for giving us time to reflect!..um.. well, let's see.. a relationship supposes that you have an interest or a DNA in common. To have a relationship implies that you share information and caring with someone and hopefully that you communicate with them.. so..how did I do?...:)
Many thanks for your kind comments on my blog! Please come back to Lurkynat and being your friends! hugs, natalie

  13. its all for show.. people like to flaunt their status.. so many get into it for show.. and then breakup also makes up for good gossip.. so kids nowadays.. have gone through many relationships even before they have got into college..very few of them do discover real love and understand its importance and responsibility but for majority its just timepass and a tool to be popular..

  14. Hmm, the answer to your question is different for different people. It generally refers to that period where you accept or someone else has accepted your proposal.

  16. Why do we think that only adults know the meaning of relationship and only they are entitled to be in a relationship? And being in a relationship would not necessarily mean that they stay together, does it? Being love is often mentioned as relationship. Now, let's blame the social networking sites for their lack of vocabulary! What say? :-)

  20. 1st of all.. u could have more presicely said a'live-in relationship' than just a relationship which can be of any type with any kind of a person. But ya,in adolesence most people tend to get attracted or rather dragged into such kind of stuff which may be a mere infatuation also. But at one point of time, they'll surly know that this kind of a relationship is not a good one and also will not last for long... But the experience will surely make them decide over the right and wrong when they again come in such situation. good write up. Cheers :)

  21. I think the parents of most teen let them date too early. TV has a big part in teens and younger children seeing things that are so suggestive, advertising too many products that have to do with sex. This is a nice post. Thank you for coming by.

  23. Its the in thing to be in a relationship, or have a special friends! We are imitating for sure! But how far and long these so called relationships last is the question and how serious these young things are about their new found partners is a different thing all together. Our culture is changing, I dont know! But we too have heard of childhood sweethearts getting married once they are settled in life in earlier generations! Maybe there weren't quite open about it then, but kids these days are...

Ashes...still reflecting on what u said

  26. Relationship by itself means committed and being together. Its not as flirt or love to say and to escape later. May be they shud say single- committed rather in relationship.
Thank you for visiting my blog.

i think that being in relationship is not a fraud, but the thing is you need to know the importance of that rellationship like we love our mother, father ,sister, nation and other people...
this is a good thing being in relationship in a new age ,it means that you are imotinally a touchable person...love with imotions are important not for anything elses...

  29. well.. its all subjective... one man stupidity is another man'z fun and anotherz job..

teens can be in relationship..since they define what that means..not you not me.. and s/he is not alone in thinking that way which is why they are in relationship..
