I search ‘……..’ my pen name on a search engine and results shows 31234+ results :-) and ‘………’ my original name on the same search engine shows only one result. :-(

ReplyDeleteSearch engines do not give results on popularity, do they?? Searching a pen name is easier since it has many linked pages...your own name may or may not fetch any results...

My pen name shows a lot more because I used it for much longer than my real name :)

My pen name shows 1800 results in google and a lot of it is unrelated to me, I guess nine from ten. My real name shows double the amount and I KNOW that 19 from 20 are unrelated to me.

Ha ha....at times our pseudo self is more popular than the real self (though both are a part of the real) :)
ReplyDeleteI am one of the lucky few, I guess, who gets a whole load of links when I type my name in Google! I really do not have an answer to your question, but I guess the pen name is popular because that is what an author uses to identify himself/herself to the rest of the world.
