My style of writing

“Do you think I should write like Chetan Bhagat to become popular?” I asked one of my good friends.
“Do not copy anybody’s style of writing rather create your own style of writing.” He suggested me.

So I tried to create my style of writing; short, crisp with a mark of interrogation at the end. I will like to thank Tomz who referred to my style of writing in his recent post.

Do you think it is distinct style or should I improve it to a more unique one?

  1. I would keep doing as you have been. what struck me when I first started following you is that with your questions you cause us to think, and that keeps me coming back. I would not write like anybody else, just be you....but what do I know lol. good luck in your journey.

  4. To begin with, writing to be popular itself is a major setback.

Secondly, don't you think you would impress more readers by answering questions than asking them?

If you HAVE to ask a question, I'm guessing it has to really make a person think, in that it has to be deep.

Thirdly, I think you are repelling readers by asking anti-climatic questions at the end of every post. I hope to read something interesting all the time, but find out at the end that its all about some incidents that are most forgettable and pointless.

Hope you didn't feel offended by my feedback. The reason I even bothered to comment is that I think you have a smart brain which can used to write some really good blogs instead of wasting it in pursuit of uniqueness and popularity.

Remember, unique is not always good.

  5. The writing style is different - unique. I like it. But can get tiring answering questions. It seems one way..

  6. Asking the questions is your USP.

  7. I like your blog, the way you look at things, and especially your questions. That is what makes this blog distinctive - and what would vanish completely following the unwanted and arrogant advice of "evilbabbler".
Concerning your style of writing, I am not much of a stylist and it's not my language, I find your language clear - and no, I do not think you should make it a "more unique one".
